Lielvarde is located on the right bank of the
biggest river of Latvia the Daugava.
55 km from Riga on the road A6, direction East
(Daugavpils).
Approximate travel time from Riga by car 50 - 60 minutes, by
train 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.
Convenient road connection with major tourism area Sigulda (60
minutes by car) as well as
"District of blue lakes" - Latgale (Eastern part of
Latvia).

What can you find in Lielvarde?
Two primary schools and Lielvarde High School, two libraries, publishing house "Lielvards", Lielvarde Art School and Lielvarde Music School.
Children choir of Lielvarde has successfully participated in many international competitions and is among the best in Latvia. Currently the choir is looking for financial support in order to participate in IN...CANTO SUL GARDA 97 in Riva del Garda, October 22.-26., 1997.
Lielvarde Museum of Andrejs Pumpurs tells you mysteries of Lielvarde Belt and it’s links to India, Tibet and Mexico. There you will find out how Latvian nation has struggled for independence for 700 years.
Wooden sculptures in the park of Lielvarde castle and cozy cafe - club "Pie Rumbinas" is good enough reason to relax for a while.

Historically Lielvarde has attracted people with good education and high living standard. Many residents of Lielvarde work in the capital of Latvia Riga and have chosen Lielvarde as their home place. For possible business visitor it means that business links established in Lielvarde nearly always include personal contacts in much wider scale.
Heritage of Soviet Army. Lielvarde used to be the biggest Soviet military airbaise in the Baltics and has it’s own rail way link as well. This has paid a role in development of infrastructure of the town - good telephone system and number of multiflat residential buildings that could be a valuable asset but need investment. Airfield currently is maintained by Latvian Air Force, but there are lot more possibilities to use it for business purposes.
